default post format is Video not Standard

Is it possible to change the default format to Standard for standard posts created by import? Currently the new posts are Video format not Standard.

The problem is that the Weaver/Aspen theme can display Standard format posts with featured image and excerpt, but for Video format posts the excerpt settings do not work.

The work around is to select all the imported posts and bulk edit and change them from Video format to Standard. This is ok for a manual import, but I am trying to set up automatic import workflow so posting a new video to our Youtube playlist will result in a new post being added to the website.

You could hook to action cbc_post_insert and change the post format when importing videos:

function my_post_format_func( $post_id ){
    set_post_format( $post_id, 'standard' );
}
add_action( 'cbc_post_insert', 'my_post_format_func', 10, 1 );

You can place the code above into your theme functions.php file.
